Workshop 3. Perfumed soap making
This workshop is divided into two parts:
1- Making glycerin soaps;
2- Design and preparation of packaging and labels for soaps.
WORKSHOP 3 (MATERIAL) – Soap + Label
-a microwave
-250 gr of solid glycerine (for each student means up to 5 soaps)
- small flowers, seeds, leaves of aromatic herbs, lavender, piece of grass…
-silicone moulds (small ones)
-colouring (the liquid for food), essence
-cellophane/wax paper and thread to wrap the soaps
-a sheet of paper to print the label

Note:We will send to your school, in advance, the necessary material. The students only need:

-a plain white/light colour T-shirt (not necessary to buy one)
-crayons (the ones they have at home)
-pencil sharpener
-scissors
-a piece of cardboard (+ A4 size)

Write about…
- when your day starts and ends (Day 1: Design your T-shirt 10 am – 14 pm) ;
- which were the steps of each workshop (For instance: We started at 10 o’clock, first our teacher – NAME - told us the instructions which were … Then we had a short break between (hour) and (hour) for lunch. We met again at (hour) o’clock and showed our work.) ;
- the results (describe the products the pupils created and your impressions (what were the good parts of your workshop, which parts would you rather skip or change and how).
- Take some screen shots of the other groups and save the images. Take pictures or make videos of your own work by using your smart phone camera. Name each picture or video like this: “Day 1: Design your T-shirt”;
- At the end of each day, you will share the photos and videos with your mentor. And mentors will share the material with the whole group by uploading it to this same page. (padlet)
